Last updated on September 2, 2008 - 21:29.
Disney Interactive will publish a demo of their racing game Pure on Playstation Network and Xbox Live Marketplace this Thursday. You'll be able to play a tutorial and the route Mount Garda against 15 rivals. Pure is an off-road, trick racing game for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. The game is developed by Black Rock Studio. It'll be released on September 23 this year.

Thanks Leonard, very nice pic. The game (like all racing games) is definetely not on my Most Wanted List but it could be fun.
I'm also not into these kind of games, but Pure's GFX engine doesn't seem too bad now.
The next offroad game I will buy is probably FUEL, which is far in the future.
But I will check out the demo for Pure on the PS3, maybe it will surprise me.
Will there be no demo for the PC?
No, they only announced console demos.
I just tried the demo. Pure does nothing wrong: good graphics, smooth controls, and a good tutorial. Nothing I could complain about.
So....nothing to complain is the best you could say about the game? That sounds horrible mediocre.
I actually forgot that the demo came out today, got thing we have GG :-) I put it in the download que right now.
Can't wait what you'll say about Pure ... :D
well...hmmm, It doesn't do anything wrong...*cough* B-)
No seriously, I played through the demo last night and knew instantly that this wasn't my game. The controls are very simple, but the handling is a bit to simplistic, too forgiving one could say.
You can do stunts in the air and load your boost meter. Since you still need to be in first place at the end of the race, my impression was that they simple replaced good driving skills with these boosts, so instead of taking a corner better then anybody else, you need to do tricks to be faster.
As you can guess, I would have been more interested if they would have dumped the flying stuff and replaced it with a decent handling, but they didn't so the game feels as shallow as Motorstorm to me.
The gameplay might be a bit boring with time, but jeez ... it just looks terrific, doesn't it?
The graphics are good, however, not this good (see player/vehicle models). Graphic-wise and gameplay-wise, I'd still prefer Sega Rally Revo (2007) over everything else.
