So Blonde for Wii and DS

So Blonde for Wii and DS

Germany —

So Blonde, an adventure game for PC starring a blonde girl (hear, hear!), which gets much of its humour out of typical stereotypes, will come to Nintendo's platforms DS and Wii. German publisher dtp and French developer Wizarbox want to create a completely new game, that won't have the same storyline as the pc-version. Only very few elements from the PC version will be converted to the the Wii/DS. The hero that you're playing won't change, but apart from that you'll discover a brand-new part (the dark side) of the island. You can see a first impression of this darker atmosphere in the header picture of this news. This is how the game will look like on the Nintendo Wii. The author of the game is Steve Ince (Broken Sword).

So Blonde for the Wii and DS wil be released in 2009.

The rise and fall of Steve Ince ;) I heard the game's bad: Too much boring minigames etc.

I wouldn't call the game bad. But from what I'be heard, the riddles are really hard to solve sometimes. And in some parts that is legacy to some rather uncomfortable design choices that the developers made.

Well, I've never played he game (not even the demo) so I cannot really say if it's good or bad. Anyway, thanks for the picture.

Sometimes I don't get these Bigwigs, there are so many good ideas out there, why bring out a game with the same name when it's completely different. And on top of that, why for the game "So blonde"? I heard it was mediocre at best, it couldn't have that good.

heres a quote I found on metacritic:

Thanks to the main character Sunny, the game could have been great. But story and design are plain boring. Most of the time is spent searching through different locations by clicking around. This just serves to prolong the game to cover up the thin story. The pretty graphics and good dialogues are the only reason to keep on playing.

I can only agree. The game doesn't matter to 99% of the gamers and I also don't think it was a big financial success, but ... the "hero"... maybe she's been a reason for some people to buy it. :)
