Unlike other developers of strategy games like Firaxis or Massive, which have decided to also release versions of their PC games for next-gen consoles, the British developer Creative Assembly won't develop a Total War game for Xbox 360, Playstation 3 or Wii. The reason is that this would mean too many changes in important elements of the games.

I think that was the right decision. RTS simply does not work on consoles, also special versions like Civilization Revolution.
Yes, but Creative Assembly is working on a Console/PC game called Stormrise for Sega, which at least looks similar to the 3D battles of Total War (although a presentation at E3 did not really fire my enthusiasm).
Their console projects in general seem to be not that good (Spartan, Viking).
