Until Far Cry 2, mapping has never been easier--whether for PC or console players. Where Halo 3's user-friendly Forge ended, Far Cry 2's map editor takes up the lead. From transforming terrain to adding over a thousands objects to changing weather and much more, Far Cry 2's map editor simply leaves no wishes unfulfilled. You don't believe us?! IGN got video proof! Key features of Far Cry 2's map editor:
It surely has paid off that Ubisoft Montreal built the Dunia Engine (fully destructible environments, fire propagation, day/night-cycle) especially for Far Cry 2. It seems that with this console-friendly map editor another once-upon-a-time PC shooter becomes console-centered once more.

Not so long ago, I wrote that I'm not very much into shooters anymore, and I stand by that statement, but I'm not so when it comes to Farcry 2. The game obviously looks stunning, but with tactics, several factions to do jobs for and the open world, this could easily become more then a mindless shooter.
Since they won't release a demo that could help me decide, I have to read some reviews extra carefully.
If the above mentioned editor is really user-friendly, it's just another sign that the devs know what they are doing and that the game could attract fans for a long time.
I totaly dig this game. The editor seems to be a better version of what i know from instincts.
I hope there are good options to use the map with others players on live, even if they are not in you friendlist. I would like to provide the community with some cool maps.
Let us know if you do :-)
