Ukranian publisher GSC Game World and German publisher Deep Silver have announced that the Stalker prequel / standalone-addon Clear Sky has gone gold. The international release date of the game has been set to September 5th of 2008. The game is set in 2011 and brings forth the events that have preceded the story of the first game. It introduces an alternative look onto the events of the original game and offers the player to try himself out as a mercenary. There are more factions that the player can influence more, but after about half of the game, the story will turn linear again, to provide for a satisfying experience. Or so the guys from GSC have told us in the past...
