There has been a warning: End of July, new super publisher Activision Blizzard (a merger of Vivendi Games and Activision) announced that only five of Vivendi Game's titles or series would be continued, eight others would not be published. Among them was World in Conflict: Soviet Assault, half addon, half successor to 2007s strategy hit World in Conflict by Swedish top studio Massive. The game, which was at the same time a strong solo title and a superb multipayer game, got very high ratings and many awards, but was not considered a commercial success. Less than two weeks later after the non-publishing announcement, the logical next step has become known: Activision Blizzard wants to sell Massive, a top development team from Sweden. In an interview, Massive's senior execs said that they're already in talks for the sale of their company. "It seems we have plenty of options", Massive founder and president Martin Walfisz is cited. "Apparently, [Activision Blizzard] didn't want an RTS studio in Europe." Read some more statements of Martin in the piece on videogaming247.

I'm sure Massive will get a new publisher for their games.
