GTA IV officially announced for PC
It was a somehow rather open secret, because nearly every GTA game has also been ported for PC, but now it's not even an open secret anymore. Rockstar Games have just officially announced a PC version of the very successful newest installment in the series, GTA IV. If you live in North America, you can expect the game to be released on November 18, Europeans, however, have to wait for three more days before the game is released in PAL territories on November 21. According to Rockstar founder Sam Hauser, the game looks and plays beautifully on PC. We haven't seen any screenshots yet, so we can't confirm if this is true and if it probably looks any better than the console versions.
But we can say this much: The multiplayer mode will be extended for the PC version.
And we can even say one more thing: We are very much looking forward to November now.

One of game history's biggest phenomenoms will be released for pc, good thing.
I am not sure it will have the same "feel" to it. I really prefer the PC for my gaming, normally, but the GTA series, including Bully, are somewhat tied for me to the console. You know, lounging in the sofa, pitching a relaxed attitude against difficult missions...
After another super-busy week in the office, I was just browsing through my E-Mails and found the announcement from Rockstar. So I checked if it was already reported and here I am. By the way, I love the pic, it's just awesome.
Contrary to what Jörg said, I'm looking forward to the PC Version. I actually bought a PS3 only for this game (and it's until today (and maybe ever) the only game that I bought for this system), but I'm just not a console guy, the resolution was too low, the textures weren't crisp and Anti-aliasing was non existant. Maybe I emphasize to much on the graphics, because the gameplay is great, but I want to see the game at it's full potential, not a scaled down version. So if you're still wondering, yes I'm going to buy the game a second time in November.
