UPDATE: Lombardi now revealed that Portal Still: Alive will only feature new levels from Portal: The Flash Version. This fan-created game and its user-generated levels can be played for free here. If you already own the Orange Box for the Xbox 360, then Portal: Still Alive might have lost some appeal now ...
Despite what we initially thought, Portal: Still Alive for Xbox Live Arcade will not continue the story-line around GlaDOS and you, its captured test subject.
The main idea is that this is Portal available as a download, and there is additional content as advanced challenges that will be available to you after you finish the critical path of the game.
Thus, the XBLA offspring will just be the chance for Xbox 360 gamers to play an extended version of the original Portal without the need to buy the whole Orange Box. More advanced challenges and achievements don't quite make up a Portal 2. Maybe calling it Portal EX comes closer to the true nature of Portal: Still Alive ...
