During the E3, Electronic Arts and Maxis showed a new trailer for their upcoming title Sims 3.
One of the most notable features of the game, is the open neighborhood, where Sims can not only visit each other, but interact on much deeper levels. It is also claimed that one of the new features of the new Create-A-Sim-Engine is the possibility that your Sims can age with time.
It was also announced previously that your Sims will act much smarter now, doing a lot of the tedious micromanagement themselves (bladder and energy motivations), leaving you free to do the important stuff.
A release date has yet to be announced, but the game is suspected to launch in 2009.
