City of Heroes/City of Villains: Just Married!City of Heroes/City of Villains: Just Married!

The superhero slash supervillain MMO's City of Heroes and City of Villains were up to now separated from each other. If you wanted to acces the villain world, you had to buy a retail copy of the respective game. If you rather felt like being the good-hearted superhero, you had to go for the equivalent. But you didn't have access to both worlds by only buying one of the two games. This is history now, because that border has been taken down. As NCSoft declared in a press release today, they removed "[...] all restrictions that were created when City of Villains launched in order to make way for some really cool content and features we have in the pipeline. This is an evolution of the IP that lays the foundation for what's to come." This sounds like we can expect both, by now rather old games, to be further supported in the future. There is no sign of what the great things to come could be, but an offline character reward system and the possibility for the community to create its very own missions and implement them into the game have already been confirmed. So if you happen to have a version of either City of Heroes or City of Villains, it might be worth revisiting your account and finally setting foot into the world you weren't able to enter before.
