Nvidia Forced to Cut PricesNvidia Forced to Cut Prices

The new 48xx cards by Ati are really worth their money, as we informed you a few weeks ago. Of course, Nvidia knows this as well, therefore, they reduced their prices for the GTX models, as techspot reports. You can get a GTX 280 for $499 instead of $649 earlier, and the GTX 260 is going from $399 to a more appealing $299. And with the 4870 X2, a dual core card similar to the 3870 X2, the next round is just a few weeks ahead. We'll keep you informed. Better products, falling prices. I like that!

I'm still going to get a GTX280, but I really like that it dropped from 550€ to 379€ already.
You might want to change the title, at the moment it sounds as if there had been a court order or something forcing them to reduce prices.
The title did make me read the news, though.^^
My english-speaking contact agrees with you :)
err, did anyone notice the information that, at least in north america, nvidia is actually giving the customers who already bought the graphic cards a part of their money back. as they reduced the price so much in such a short time, it is a great measurement of nvidia, but: european customers of course don´t see any money
Nope, haven't heart that, can you give us a source for that?
