Petition Against Diablo's Comic Look

d3 look.png
Germany —

Many gamers were not content at all with the presentation of Diablo 3. In particular, they complained about its look being too colorful and reminding a good portion of the gamers of World of Warcraft. Thus, it took no time that they started a petition, where about 1.000 people subscribed to already.

You can also take a first glimpse at how the game should really look like in their opinion: adjusted screenshots were put up online and can be viewed here.

Interesting news, gross.tm! The pictures are terrific, and while I think that Blizzard should do the graphics in any way they want, it would be a great feature to have that darker look as an option in the video configuration menu.

I agree, very good news.
But it is always the same story. Old game has old fans, and they want the game to be what they think is best. Maybe, if you listen to them, you will get an old game again?
Same thing with Fallout 3 or Starcraft 2

We get older. Let the children play :)

I might not agree with this, since I don't see how reducing the viewing range and saturation might add to the game, I actually like a touch of color. Also, just in my personal opinion, I anticipate the game to come out somewhere in Autumn of 2009, that's more then a year away, so nobody knows what the final product will look like, I'm sure they just pushed the gamma a bit high for presentational purposes.

As I said, I might not agree, but it shows how passionate gamers are about Diablo, and that I do like a lot.
