With the Spore Creature Creator now having been released it was really only a matter of time (and we didn't have to wait for long, did we?) till the first creative minds out there would go for walking penisses or for any sort of thing that has to do with genitalia and other "not safe for work"-content; turning Spore into Sporn by doing that, so to speak. Even Ron Gilbert (you know him from Monkey Island, don't you?) pointed this out in his blog:
It should come as no surprise to anyone that the first thing most people want to do is create genitalia. I certainly hope it's not a surprise to Will and the crew at SporeCo. I have no doubt that smart scientists using today's modern super computers could calculate the "time to penis" of any game editor.
I'm with him on that. But his hope seems to be lost. Because EA, well: they really seem surprised. Which is why they are by now all very busy writing some mails (well: probably not some, but rather a whole truckload) which sound like this:
Your Electronic Arts account has been flagged for violating the Electronic Arts Inc Terms of Service. We believe that the violation or behavior is serious enough to bring to your attention as it may impact your future access to the service.
So if you were tempted to create giant walking genitals in the world of Spore (come on, we know you were) you should probably better think this through again if you don't want to be banned from playing the game. Better go for something harmless and cute instead.
There are, however, not only those kind of creatures in the game. So if you want to see some really creative stuff (like a living-guitar creature that you probably already spotted in the teaser picture of this article) you should head over to Joystiq's gallery which accompanies their special A week with the Spore Creature Creator.
No sporn in there, apparently. Well, that's to say: not yet.

Actually, they really could have expected that, because it's kind of a human habit to depict these things. Just think of your time as a child (ok, mainly boys I think ;). They even found stuff like that on walls in ancient Pompeii.
But I don't see a problem here, maybe others do?
Well I shook my head when I first saw the vids on youtube, but I admit that it made me laugh too.
I see a sort of Guitar in the picture. Now, Psychiatrists (especially Freudians) of the world, tell me what is wrong with me :-)
The guitar is actually a phallic symbol and [insert rant about how all this connects to your mother and anal fixation].
I suspected something like that. But, having looked at the screenshot again, I now see a purple elephant which speaks to me through telepathic means.

The weirdest thing about this article is that Knurrunkulus thinks that everybody knows the video "the internet is for porn", so much so that he used it in the headline and didn't even link to it, even more weird, every reader understood the quote and didn't link to it either, so won't I...funny things these internets...
But everybody does know the video.
I know that's the weird thing I was writing the comment about. There is pretty much nothing out there that every body knows, not a single movie quote that everybody understand, but these youtube-memes really do get around.
Would be freaky to make a poll and find out that more people understand the quote "leave Britney alone", then "I am your father".
... and everyone who doesn't either lives in a cave or ought to.

I don't know of any video or something wich states that the internet is for porn, i thought that was common knowlege ...
by the way i never thought of depicting penises anywhere since i was born ... i mean come on, most people know how it looks don't you. I don't need to make a map for you or something do i ... and of course if you never saw one, somebody might show you when the time is right.
Just so that I don't have to contradict myself in posting the 100 times more popular WoW version, heres the Sesame Street version.
Few people know that both versions aren't the original.
