Video Clip Pick: Super Mario In Real Life

If you are a gamer, then you will know Super Mario. There is no way you couldn't know this little plumber, saving princesses in his freetime and jumping on tortoises while doing that. Strange thing to do. But well: it's his hobby, we can't blame him.

If you are a gamer, then you will also know the sound of Super Mario. It's a me: Mario, the sound of the coins, the sound of the music, the sound of everything. It's special, it's unique; there is no way you wouldn't know it.

What I basically want to say is: If you are a gamer, then you are obviously at least somehow familiar with the look and feel of Super Mario. Which is why you are going to appreciate very much what students at Gordon College did to bring exactly this look and feel into real life. They entirely reenacted the very first level of the NES classic Super Mario Bros., which made me laugh very hard, and I can assure you: this by far not only once.

So, if you are a gamer: You should really, really watch this clip. We recommend it.

It reminds me a tiny little bit of the beginning of the movie Reign of Fire, where the children in the human fortress are treated with a life enactment of Star Wars Episode 3 :-)

Saw that a long time ago, but it somehow reminds me of these asian guys that made this matrix pong version...here
They used the same technique in terms of black dressed guys in the background.
