Mental note to ourselves: Be more optimistic regarding release dates in the future. When we reported about the new class-specific update for Team Fortress 2 last week, which will focus on the Pyro this time, we were closing our article with those lines:

Concerning the release date: It's Valve, and they always take their time. Them saying it's "nearly wrapped up" could just as well mean: "Still one month to go."

We were wrong. It didn't even take them two more weeks, because Valve now announced that the new update will head for the servers on June 19. The new unlockable achievements as well as the new weapons (apart from the already announced Axtinguisher) that the update will include are still a mystery, but this information will most probably be made available on a website dedicated to the new patch which Valve will launch at 11 am PDT today. This website will also feature the new Meet the Team video starring the Sniper. We however do already have the information that two user-created maps will be included in the content pack

[...] to highlight the great work being done in the community and distribute those works to all TF2 players. [...] Finally, to give everyone a chance to try the new weapons and community maps, Valve will hold another Team Fortress 2 Free Weekend via Steam beginning this Friday at 11 am PDT.

So you might want to give the Pyro a try this weekend. He's on fire for you already. No, really.

Update: The video Meet the Sniper was now made available. And it's entertaining.
