Just to let you know that the people working for www.eurogamer.net were obviously able to squeeze some more information out of Funcom about what they have in mind for the future of Age of Conan, which celebrated a very successful start in the last month; the game has by now shipped over a million units.

Right now Funcom is still busy patching away all the flaws that the launch month of the MMO unveiled, but at the end of this month a big patch is going to head for the servers which will bring enhancements for the PVP system, one of those enhancements being the fugitive system which makes you easier to hunt down with every helpless and innocent low-level player you kill; and we know that you are doing this all the time, yes we do.

Later in the year a kingship patch will add the possibility to form alliances, build massive castles and construct some specific wonders, which are then again linked to higher powers.

An achievement system will also be added to reward you for certain actions, there will be a new dungeon in Aquilonia and dancing moves are going to be implemented. Considering the gritty world of Age of Conan this might well turn out to be Dirty Dancing. Oh no, did I just write this?

Funcom will also need to work on the high-level content, because as successful and popular Age of Conan might be at the moment: the closer players get to maximum level 80, the more Conan's world seems to lack the spirit it had in the first 30 hours or so of playing it. But game director Gaude Godager seems to know this perfectly well.
