New Edition of Fallout 3 revealedNew Edition of Fallout 3 revealed
Last updated on June 9, 2008 - 19:10.
GamersGlobal already reported on the contents of the Collector's Edition for the upcoming title Fallout 3 back in April, but now Bethesda Softworks announced a third version on their game's homepage. This new version is called Survival Edition and will contain everything from the Collector's Edition (artbook, lunch box, making-of DVD and the Vault Boy) plus, and that is new, a life-size replica of the Pip-Boy 3000, a wrist-mounted device that in-game characters wore throughout the series. The replica is fully functional as a digital clock. Contrary to the Collector's Edition, which will be available at many retailers worldwide, the Survival Edition is exclusive to Amazon.com as a pre-order item (link) and will cost $119.99 for the PC and $129.99 for PS3 & Xbox 360.

Why Amazon.com only - WHY ??
Well, I just have to cope with the "normal" collectors edition.
You can also order from Amazon.com. That's not a hindrance.
I heard that Amazon.com stopped shipping games oversees due to some pressure from publishers, was that only a rumor?
I don't know. That's the first time I have heard about them stopping shipping overseas, but, then again, I haven't ordered from Amazon.com for half a year.
No, its not a rumor. Guitar Hero can only be Shipped to US addresses. But it depends on the Publisher, some of them still allow it.
Thank you for confirming that, I guess they are afraid (rightly so) that we could exploit the weak dollar. If I remember correctly what I read on Antigames.de, then Guitar Hero costs only half as much as compared to Europe.
(yep, just confirmed it: $69.99 in the US, 98,85€($156,01) in Germany and £64.98($128,01) in the UK)
I don't know what APO/FPO addresses are but I guess it doesn't include germany.
APO/FPO means Army Post Office/Fleet Post Office. So, if you were a US soldier deployed in Germany, you could very well receive the package. (The US military have their own ZIP code addresses if I'm correct)
So go and find the next US base, contact someone on the inside, and you can set up a very profitable importation business. :D
There must be a better way, I really don't wanne piss off the US military :-)
Wrote a comment on a rather bad article over at Gamestar, claiming that the Collectors Edition will be exclusive to Amazon. I put a link there linking to this article. Let's see if somebody wants to know the truth.
