Hellgate Patch 1.3c to solve problemsHellgate Patch 1.3c to solve problems

Flagship Studios are set to release bugfix "c" for their last big patch 1.3, which brought several new features for Hellgate: London. The most important of the 8 new features were:
Since the release of patch 1.3 on April 24th, there have been various problems, including server instability, which Flagship tried to counter by nightly server restarts. Patch 1.3c solves some additional issues, and also introduces some new in-game messaging. As the official website puts it, when joining parties, players will sometimes now presented with a dialog which informs them that they must abandon their game instance. If a player chooses to abandon their instance, they will be warped back to town, and their town portals will be closed. This fixes a bug which could cause players to end up in the wrong game instance. It's nice to see that Flagship continues to enhance Hellgate: In our opinion, Hellgate London, which was greeted with mixed feelings by many players (and mixed ratings by magazines -- we liked it, see our review) could still evolve into a "long runner".

Sorry to correct you, but Patch 1.3 was released a Month ago on April 28th. The 1.3a-c are just the bug fixes.
Btw as an founder I hope it turns to a “long runner”. But it seems FSS have some mayor problems with the advancement of the game. The next ongoing Patch "The Abyss Chronicles" is already 2 month overdue and hasn’t a release date by now...
Thanks very much for pointing that out, I misunderstood a PM Flagship sent out today, and I stopped playing Hellgate in December. The part that mislead me was:
"Flagship Studios today released a video to coincide with the recent launch of patch 1.3 for its action RPG Hellgate: London. Patch 1.3 offers no less than eight new features including Shared Stash, a Premium Item Merchant, Donation Collectors and Global Buffs, Ranks and the Expertise system."
I then checked on the hellgate-Website and found the 1.3c-Information dated May 29th. I assumed that today's PM referred to that 1.3c patch and announced the 1.3 patch outside of the test center.
I've changed the news accordingly, although it's no longer very newsworthy. By the way, this demonstrates what gamersglobal.com could be about: People who actually are into a game and know exactly the patch version status etc., reporting about news for "their" game. Just dreaming, for the moment, but we could get there...
The Community Manager was on a trip to Japan, that’s why the PM is so late. Btw who would advertise a broken Patch? (1.3 killed the ingame Mail)
I stopped Hellgate some Time after I beat "Stonehenge" (Patch 1.0) in February but came back 2 weeks ago for the new Rank-System in 1.3 and have to admit Hellgate is taking Steam. By what I have seen the last days in the “Subscriber only Area” the playerbase seems to be low but stable.
Hope Patch 2 keeps its promise.
There are sooo many games I desperately want to catch up with when my new pc arrives in the very near future, and although I was hugely disappointed by the demo of "Hellgate" (which could have been linked with the fact that the graphics looked utterly ugly on my laptop) I still can't help myself; "Hellgate London" is somehow still among those games. As are loads of other titles. I need a holiday. For the beginning, 4 months could probably do. I could work myself through half of the "to play"-list in that amount of time (and write reviews for GG, of course). ;)
