Next Prince of Persia to use excellent cartoon lookNext Prince of Persia to use excellent cartoon look

The next Prince of Persia will incorporate a whole new visual style. It seems to be a mix of cell shading and hand drawn backgrounds.
Ubisoft underlined atmosphere over photorealism with the last three Prince of Persia games and goes one step further.
Mind you, these are all screenshots from ingame graphics!

Normally I'm not the type to post screenshots, but this is exceptional!
I love the Prince of Persia series. I think they are a role model for good games and I looked forward to the next game already and now I'm looking forward to it even more!
I totally dig the new style.
Hi Phlexonance, +10 EXP. We normally don't do thumbs in a news, because it need's full HTML, which is dangerous, but I'm making an exception for you.
Thanks, but how else should we post screens?
What do you say about the new graphic style?
Screen posting is not a strength of GamersGlobal.com at the moment, I'm afraid.
I like the new look very much, it seems to suit the topic perfectly.
HTML is eating the whitespaces.
Would you mind putting a <pre> tag around it?
That looks really cool, I liked XIII as well, instead of good semi-realistic graphics they choose perfect comic graphics.
What was wrong with the title I chose?
There was nothing "wrong" about it, but the new one is better for three reasons:
- It includes the series' proper name -- "Prince" can be anything
- "comic" is not the best term, cartoon is better
- "goes comic" could mean that the "Prince" will be made into a comic or cartoon
Hope this helps :-)
Well then: "Persian Prince goes Cartoon Style"
It's 4 words shorter than yours and the shorter the merrier =)
really nice drawn art....what what? These are screenshots? Holy cow thats awesome...
Hm, imagehost.org seems to be rather slow.
Do you have any suggestions for the next time?
I personally like tinypic.com, but I have never benchmarked them, but I guess the speed was always ok. But there are of course hundreds of image-hosts out there, it's just a matter of personal preference.
Certainly, this is an unexpected news. I thought that the PoP series now goes in the direction of Assassin's Creed (and using Sin's engine because it would be so much cheaper). However, I really hope Prince of Persia goes back to its roots - no more noir blood fests with a combo crap mix-ups. Prince of Persia I was famous for its great levels and gameplay flow, PoP II for its fabulous and wonderous story (and difficulty), and Sands of Time for really getting the prince into the third dimension. I'd like to say something positive about the newest PoP sequel as well. I hope I can.
The older PoP titles were also known for there great character animation.
