GamersGlobal is an international gaming news community that provides every ambitious gamer with the right set of tools to actively cooperate in the creation of news about PC and video games. GamersGlobal is a human edited website: Registered users can publish their own news right to the front page, but a news can only be promoted to the Top News section by an experienced staff member.

Every news and comment give our users EXP points, so they will grow in rank and can use additional features. Depending on your rank, you can vote, enhance other user's news, add pictures or even write your own reviews. For example, you have additional sources or links for a news item? Add them to the news itself (your contribution will be noted), and make the news better. But without registering, you can only read and comment -- nothing more.

Our editorial team will add interviews and other Specials to GamersGlobal -- you'll notice that we speak with the first league of game designers. By the way, we actually "speak" with them, instead of sending them an e-mail with some questions, like most websites do.

Every comment is worth 1 EXP, every news gets you 10 EXP, every special (like interviews or big reviews) is awarded 100 EXP. At the moment, only staff members can publish specials, but this may change in the future. Also, News promoted to Top news or even First News mean bonus EXP for the user.

Ranks and EXP: As of now (we're still in beta), the user ranks and their most notable features are as follows:

1. [0000 EXP] Verified User: Post and update your own news. Gain and collect EXP.
2. [0050 EXP] Contributor: Get access to a click counter, so that you know how many times your news has been read.
3. [0300 EXP] Reporter: Edit and update all news -- similar to Wikipedia. Changes create a new revision, so that previous versions may be restored by Editors/Mods/Admins. Get access to the advanced search.
4. [1000 EXP] Editor: Add images to all news. Moderate news revisions.

Note that higher roles include the benefits of all lower roles. Please also note that the roles and the EXP needed are subject to change. We're also flexible, and may selectively promote individual users who stand out due to the quality of their work and the acclaim of the GamersGlobal community. Our goal is that every user at GamersGlobal can become an Editor with unrestricted access within reasonable time.

Joining GamersGlobal is free and easy: Completing the registration gives you a name and a picture on the site, granting you instant access to features like your unique user profile. At this point, your role is "Verification pending". Once you complete the registration form, we'll send a n e-mail to address you've specified. It contains a link which you should click on (or paste into your browser) to instantly unlock your ability to create and update your own gaming news.
